Establishment
Zacharias Basagiannis establishes the sole proprietorship Decostar, specializing in the trade of wallpaper.
Conversion to Public Limited Company
Together with Heracles Basagiannis, they establish Decostar SA, a company importing and trading in wholesale and retail wallpaper.
New products
The company enters the flooring market with its first product category, carpeting. New products are then gradually added, enriching the collections in various other product categories.
Relocation
Decostar S.A. moves to its own premises in Acharnes, in a 3.500 m² space that includes showrooms, administrative offices, and modern storage facilities.
The next generation
Management is transferred to the second generation. George Basagiannis and Dimitris Basagiannis take on a central role in the management and development of the company.
Sustainability
Adopting green awareness and seeking to reduce its energy footprint, Decostar S.A. is transforming its building into a 100% energy self-sufficient facility and emphasizing the circular economy.
